Drudge fooled by WHOIS prank... reports that name servers such as MICROSOFT.COM.IS.NOTHING.BUT.A.MONSTER.ORG are a hacker's "warning for Microsoft."

sounds like some fuel for the retort fire? Are does the retort ever satirize Drudge directly anymore?

I wrote a story about this a few years ago, but never found out how one goes about registering fake domains to companies.

Capt, there was a Slashdot mention about this about a month ago, there were a few explanations of it.

From NTBugtraq this morning: an explanation of how/why this happens.

If I recall correctly, you:

1. Give your name-server machine a new name that insults Microsoft and ends with your own real machine (i.e. MICROSOFT.COM.SERVES.SATAN.COM if you own SATAN.COM).

2. Register that nameserver to be your primary or secondary DNS on a domain you own.

The Drudge Retort satirizes Drudge indirectly, but it was always more fun to satirize Clinton for being a horndog. We took the end of the impeachment saga harder than anyone, including Matt.
