Some art cars are impressive bacause you can tell how much work went into them. This one is good because of how simple it is. Very nice.

It doesn't get any better than this. It doesn't have to.

My husband is from Mt. Zion, Ill., a small town right outside Decatur where they have not one but TWO chicken cars. They are owned by a restaurant called Krekel's Kustard and are always parked out in front of their local establishments. It's the "chickenmobile" referred to in Sufjan Steven's song "Decatur".

I get a kick out of them every time we drive by.

Ooops. I just realized I linked to a chicken car photo in the main post. Sorry about that - but that one is a Krekel's chicken car. They are still around.

I am terrified that this chicken car, this voiture de poulet, this toriguruma, this coche de pollo, is OUT THERE SOMEWHERE AND WE DON'T KNOW WHERE!! I can feel my marrow freezing.

Did anyone notice the appartment in the background is called "El Gallo Cubano". Isn't that spanish for "The Cuban Rooster"?
