"If you can't find a 110lb Russian girl to bench press, a regular bench press can be used, too."

Heh. Dumb, but funny in the way that the ads on k5 are funny.

His assistants, they jiggle just fine, but there is a distinct lack of juggling going on.

To the point of hilarity.

"ok, let's continue now with ten three up double pirouettes in a row separated by a deep squat and a jump spinning press kick."

That's just funny.

Metafilter: Remember, if you feel faint or light headed, that means your just not working hard enough.

Funny.

Begs a link to some real juggling sites, but they're so numerous that it deserves an FPP on its own, or at least a search any Gentle Reader here can figure out on their own.

The masters of that craft make that muscle-bound funnyman seem like a drunken suburban clown in comparison (well, minus the 110 pound Russian hottie).

What you don't seem to realize, elendil71, is that the man in this video IS one of the masters of the juggling craft. Jason Garfield is arguably one of the greatest living jugglers and has also contributed quite a bit to the technical juggling movement with the World Juggling Federation.

This is the same guy who filmed the "Bliss Diss" video where he ran through the "Chris Bliss" three ball routine with 5 balls.

It's way funnier if you know a little bit about Jason Garfield's history in the juggling world.

I laughed. And the 9-ball action, wow. evoo, what do you mean about his history?

Lame.

Yeah, right. Why do you people even bother to show up in threads when you only have that to say? Go away.

Oh, this is the Chris Bliss Diss guy. I never knew he did the parody on a dare from Penn of Penn & Teller. The original Chris Bliss thread.

tae bo is rad?

Jugglers get all the chicks.

Those girls were having entirely too much fun.

Must be something with girls today. Of all the things I tried to impress girls in my younger days, I would say juggling was the least successful.

And that was even doing my signature bowling ball, ping pong ball, and shoe mixed juggling!

(The first time someone challenged me to juggle 1 bowling ball and 2 other anything I told them it simply couldn't be done, and that it must be camera tricks on TV. I was as surprised as anyone that I was successful on the very first attempt. It looks impressive but is deceptively easy.)

His escalating stunts reminded me of Steve Martin complaining to the Austrian cop (having to juggle oranges, tap dance and sing the "Catalina Magdalene Lupensteiner Wallenbeiner" song simultaneously): "God damn — your drunk tests are hard!"

Very nice, quite impressive (three-up double-pirouette jump-kick thing?!) and really funny. I did kind of wonder why his assistants were giggling girly-girls who couldn't juggle, however. There are quite a lot of really talented female jugglers out there... is this parodying tae bo in some way that I didn't understand?

Hmm, seems I was a bit hyphen-heavy here...

This is funny because it's true.

Er. No wait. It's funny because... it's not... um... it just IS ok.

I must admit to thinking of stealing the idea and really marketing it. I'm currently helping produce Fitness Podcasts... some of which are no weirder than this thing.
