The problem with these 'rules' is that it seems like they would drastically reduce your ability to actually get laid. I mean, who would sleep with someone taking all these steps to stay anonymous?

Lonely people will give up personal information for a chance of an experience with a girl? You don't say!

I agree with the above poster, if you don't give up personal information, a legitmate girl will just move on to someone who will.

Ew, I went to check out Crock's website, and he had a link to this. I don't know if it's one of his or what, but it's just awful.

where a creepy guy named Jason Fortuny posted a fake, explicit Craigslist ad from the point of view of a female submissive looking for rough sex, and then he maliciously posted all of the personal information on each and every one of the respondents to an editable online wiki.

Creepy? What's creepy about making fun at the expense of losers?

Should people even need this article? Online personals aren't my thing, but its just the same common sense when doing anything risque via email:

* use an anon email account. "microsoft.com" is not an anon accoount.
* don't send pics, at least not identifying ones, until you've verified identity
* assume that anything you send could be posted publicly by the other person until you have built enough trust to assume otherwise

Hey, it's a bunch of common sense safety tips, but we should pay attention because it's a HOWTO from Violet Blue and she's a grrrl that talks about sex in her sex web 2.0 blog. LOL.

oh, and DRM.

Touchy touchy. In my defense, I'm pretty sure super hot 20-year old girls don't need to post on craigslist for anonymous sexual encounters.

Never give a stranger your real name, email address, your phone number, physical address or location at any given time, information that could let them know where you work or hang out, or send photos that reveal your face. This is basic rape and stalker prevention, by the way. We women know.

Are you shitting me? Instead, women are supposed to show up to dates (best-case scenario is a public date) with guys whose names and contact info they have no idea about? What a horrible thing to advise!

What happened to "When you go out with a stranger for the first time, leave a note with his info on the fridge, so when he kidnaps, rapes, kills, and eats you, we'll at least know who did it"?

This Fortuny guy sounds like a cross between your average immature internet dickhead and a Perverted Justice wannabe. Ugh.

So quick to judge we are.

Hey, you look really familiar. Didn't you blow me in that park bathroom last week? And the week before? Hey, that was great. Next time wear the blonde wig and *two* diapers.

craigslist. One word. Not Craig's List. That is all.

Last week was me. Week before last was my monkey.

Which makes your insult to women who use online dating services acceptable how, again? What a jackass thing to say. Grow up.

Q. "Creepy? What's creepy about making fun at the expense of losers?"

A. The "losers" it brings out to comment about how funny it is.

Not a word I ordinarily use; call it a 'reflection'.

I always wondered at the thinking behind penii photos. Are girls supposed to be so taken with the frequently small, flacid, warty organs (not penises in general, just those posted on craigslist), that we jump with lust through the screen. If there was ever a proof of the differance between men and women, penis photos would be it.
