Cockroach Dream - Knock out 100 cockroaches before the sleeping man goes mad! When you get tired of that, try the other Flash Friday games on this delightful site. Dice Wars and Ladies' Tournament Tennis are particularly good. And take a moment to ponder your good fortune, for we are truly in the midst of a Flash gaming renaissance.

That is the most disgustingly creepy game I've ever played.

Where the heck's Justine? Sweetest backhand in the game?

The flash 9 beta for linux dies a horrible death to the "Cockroach Dream" link.

You just made me glad that I decided to hit Bali this Christmas instead of Thailand again.

Egh. *shudder* Straight out of Khao San.

Dicewars is damn addictive, but eventually you get to the point you can always win, and it becomes a little self-indulgent.

Only issue with cockroach dream is that by the time you have killed enough roaches to feel better about your pathetic aim, you simply try and swat the dead bodies over and over again!

I keep smacking him with the rolled-up paper, but he won't wake up and get the fuck out of there.

Alas, Dicewars is a double, though is still fun.

These are good games. I've been playing Dicewars like a junkie since it was first posted on the blue. It's addicting like CRACK!

I like dicewars a lot. There's something about that type of mindless clicking that's really soothing to me. Thanks.

Bloody hell the difficulty curve on that cockroach game gets steep. I really like the little touch of the insects running way when you move cursor near - just like they'd run away if you went near with a rolled up newspaper. It makes you resort to exactly the same tactic you'd use in real life, just whacking mindlessly in the hope you get some of them...

Dicewars is more fun with more players, and it's more fun when you're NOT the first. It makes it harder.

Does anyone know where Dicewars originated? I remember playing a japanese-language windows 95 executable of that game years ago.

sonofsamiam: it says "For fans of prisoner's base" on the website. However, what I can find of prisoner's base on the internet (a Rex Stout novel, a movie of same, and a children's game) don't seem related.
