News Corp Cancels OJ Simpson's

News Corp Cancels OJ Simpson's "If I Did It." In the book and associated TV deal, Simpson would have described how he would have killed Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman, had he done so.
This post was deleted for the following reason: wendell did it.
Pre-Meta'd. I think that's a first.

Books have already been printed and shipped to stores and distributors in some cases. It will be interesting to see how many copies make it back to ReganBooks for pulping and how many go to eBay.

No, amberglow, just business sense. After all the hype, actually airing it was unnecessary and possibly alienating. On the other hand, such a hyped TV show, already ready to go, that never aired ... that's gotta be worth something in DVD sales, no?

Still can't decide which is slimier-- writing a book like this about someone you actually killed (but you were acquitted), or writing a book like this about someone you were falsely accused of killing.

As it was pretty close to the release date, how long will it be before the stolen copies start appearing in ebay bidding wars?
There doesn't seem to be any real copies up yet .
I'll give it another copuple of hours.

Now hopefully we'll see an "If I had written it" where he'll outline how he would have written such a book. (But he didn't, seriously).

*excuse me* I am so fucking sick and tired of the amount of attention Simpson gets... I don't know if he committed the murders or not, I have an opinion, but it is only an opinion, and it doesn't really matter goddamn it. What would be fun is to see him stand up in front of a (verbally) hostile crowd of Mefites and defend his attention whore actions.
WHO THE FUCK CARES?!!?

Murdoch actually has a conscience after all.
By 'conscience' you must have meant to write 'actuarial formula which projects potential liabilities will outweigh sales'.
