Clicking this post was worth it for that Blake quote. Thanks, uosuaq.

The kids in this video are arrogant pricks. They interact with Vivek with such contempt for eccentricity... it's sad.

The kids in this video are arrogant pricks.

I wouldn't say arrogant pricks as much as naive. The guy speaking more or less is repeating some sort of amalgamation of Eastern philosophy. They seem to be glorifying it, but it's not obvious that they really understand what he's talking about (especially when he pipes in with comments like "let's start a cult" or "not the government" @ 9:25).

On second thought, I take that back. They're pricks.

I probably would have enjoyed this a great deal more without the constant interjections from those asshole kids.

The guy who posted the video is the guy who made it. he realized the error he made in being an ass. skim the comments, he talks about how he started looking into the eastern philosophy and what not.

If this guy were in India, he'd be a sadhu. In a traditional Muslim society, he'd be a Sufi/dervish. In Ancient Greece, he'd be a philosopher with an admiring crowd of devotees. But in America, he's a homeless nut getting filmed by flippant college kids. Not saying America's worse than those other societies overall, but it's worse for him. And I'd a thousand times rather hang out with Vivek than with asshole know-it-alls.
