Someone observed, "They say the men of Chu are nothing but monkeys that have been washed and had hats put on them. It seems that is indeed the case"
Xiang Yu came to hear of this comment, and had the speaker boiled alive.

Abiezer, I too salute your erudition.
And I also wish the original monkey had a beret. That would be great in many ways, even those unrelated to the phrase "cheese-eating surrender monkey".

Are you kidding? You must not have bothered to look very far. It's a wonderful site, filled with neat info, games and links, and with a perfect light comic tone throughout. It's absolutely marvelous for kids. Next time someone asks me what to let their 8-year-old browse, I'm sending them to Mr. Monkey.
