100 dogs in 100 days! Illustrator Michael Wertz is on a mission to fill his dog blog with "100 pooches in >about< as many days." Help him out by spreading the word or sending him a photo of your favorite canine. Woof!

Hmm...this sounds a lot like Shauny's kitty pics, although she doesn't have a number goal. So, if you're a feline afficionado, you have a choice!

just to clarify...you send Michael a photo of your dog and he'll illustrate it for you (given he has the time and the slots left...only 39 dogs to go :-). So, it is definitely different from Shauny's in that regard (although I agree that dog people and cat people should have a choice :-).

Check out the wertzateria for more of Michael's excellent work.

'S ok, I guess. I wasn't Stunned and Amazed. But I'm not a designer / illustrator / artist and I don't know a thing about art. So I just commented on what I saw was a related theme I've been noticing lately.

I thought the cool thing about the site is that he is using blogs as a way of driving his work. "100 dogs in 100 days" is what he does, but that's no different than using a blog to publish other things of use to the world. The blog as a self-motivational tool to drive work is a great use of the technique!

I think the artwork is pretty good, showing a variety of stylistic approaches (each illustration is different), yet thematically related. I'm sure the dog owners will love seeing their pooch illustrated.

Ah, yes, if the truth must be told. However, I have been known to co-exist peacefully with feline adversaries.
