This looks great! You gotta love New Zealand cinema.

If Peter Jackson's lucky, he'll get work directing the disgusting sequel: Ewe!

(I wonder if Harry Shearer is busy...)

Phew, you had me scared for a second, I was afraid it was this one.

Which lead me, indirectly, to yet another of my fond childhood memories irrevocably crapped on by Hollywood...

It seems more Shaun of the Dead than Snakes on a Plane to me.

Snakes on a Plane can not be duplicated. Ever.

Although it can be copied.

Don't let the comedic movie poster pull the wool over your eyes - this is an Icon production. Under Mel's husbandry, this is sure to be the bloodiest film of 2007. And you only have to sacrifice $10 to see it.
posted by taliaferro at 8:33 AM on January 12, 2007

I doubt it will be as good as the original.

Thank all that is holy.

Could be brillant if it's done right.

Isn't Icon Mel Gibson's production company? Are they anti-semitic slaughterous sheep?

Oof, didn't see taliaferro's post...

How is this any different than Dead Meat, otherwise known as 'mad cows run amok in Ireland'?

Well, I guess it's sheep and NZ instead? Ah hell, could be fun.

I'm confused, is there any more to this post? Like maybe a link actually saying what the movie is about or something more than just a picture, a trailer and a couple of tag lines? I'm left feeling uninformed and wondering where the content is.

Or was the point just 'look at those crazy kiwis making a movie about sheep, how cute!'.

Oh shelley, let's just bask in the attention.

Really, what about this is confusing? Sheep go crazy and kill people. The end.

Dhammond, next time put a [spoiler] warning. Thanks a bunch for ruining it.

I'm not confused about the movie, I'm confused about the post. As in, why was this even posted? There's practically nothing there.
posted by shelleycat at 3:53 PM on January 12, 2007

Hopefully the movie ends in a battle against those tiny villains

Thanks a bunch for ruining it.

[SPOILER] Snakes on a Plane has snakes and they're on an airplane!

But you're joking, right? I don't think I'm giving anything away that you're not going to figure out the first time you see the movie poster or trailer.
posted by dhammond at 5:05 PM on January 12, 2007

Yeah, I was joking.

For fans of this particular, uh, ouvre, I recommend watching Boa vs. Python. Pretty much what it says on the tin.
