Tired of missing astrological events such as comets, eclipses, or meteor showers? With Spaceweatherphone's service, when auroras appear over your hometown, your phone will ring. When the space station is about to fly over your back yard, your phone will ring. When planets align ... you get the idea.

If a GRB hits earth, look for the sooty shadow where your phone used to be.

Errr, uhhh, am I the only one getting an invisible line that's a link for "Spaceweatherphone" over the first line of the post?

I do not think astrological means what you think it means.

No, SmileyChewtrain, you're not. I think localhuman put a link in the link field but nothing in the link title field.

I'm saddened to see astrology confused with astronomy.

Astronomy = fascinating science.

Astrology = Bullshit for creduloids.

rob511:

comets in astrology

eclipses in astrology

and so on. (though maybe not space stations!) anyway i think it's perhaps a big assumption to make, even though you're probably right.

tube, unfortunately you are correct in usage of these terms. At some point, the definitions were reversed (bad monk translation?) and it stuck. Kind of like oi polloi mean hi-falutin, when it should mean low-life/commoners.

regardless, nice link, thanks.

I would consider it if it was an sms, but the voice mail... nah. I wonder why they don't send text instead of the silly voice recording.
