"A Naked-Eye Nova in Scorpius" - Scorpius, the constellation home to M4, has a nova visible to the naked eye. has a cool javascript almanac for you to see when it will be most visible for where you live.

Gah, forgot to say up there that you need to see it tonight! Or tomorrow! Or whatever day it is in Australia!

Cool! Don't know that I stand much chance of seeing this in light-polluted London, but to see a nova it might be worth a shot.

I warned the fools. LEAVE I said. Before it's too late. Did they listen. No.

And here I am stranded. Living amongst you pathetic Earthlings. The radiation from your yellow sun giving me awesome powers. The power to talk to brine shrimp. The power to guess anybodies height with in an inch or two. And, most amazingly, the power to piss anybody off nearly instantly on the internet.

Surrender. Your world is mine.

Thank you for posting this. I would have found out too late otherwise. (I probably won't be able to see it anyway, but maybe I'll try.)
