GeForce 3

GeForce 3 to be available on Macs first. Check out the 3rd video down. Bonus: A look at the new ID 3D engine for Doom. High drool factor.
Seems this is an Nvidia thread rather than a Mac thread.
Mac bad. Nvidia good.
I'm drooling over those graphics. Going to be a while until I upgrade my PC (with a TNT card) but I can only dream about what desktop graphics will be like in five years.
I've been a fan of id Software since the Doom days and that's the first time I've ever heard Carmack's voice.
I should have expected it but it was still a surprise.

Yeah, Steven I looked at that link, but not the whole thread. I probably should have just added to that thread. Really I don't care about the Mac portion, I just wanted to post the ID stuff. I'm a 3D nut.

Yeah, the new Doom engine looks awesome. I would still put Doom2 on the top of game list. Playing that with White Zombie's Astrocreep2000 CD in the background was the ultimate in spooky gaming, and I think I even recognized at least one of the levels in that short little clip.

I wonder how much apple payed nvidia off to release the GF3 for macs first.....and I wonder how much money apple spends each year on advertising in movies......
