Time to begin that weekly This American Life discussion... Showtime streams the first episode of the televised This American Life, in two acts, right here. (Previously mentioned here, here, and here...)

This post was deleted for the following reason: We really don't need to do weekly updates on this. -- cortex

Hardly necessary. This has been all over the blue and the gray, no?

Though I do winder if the debut's coincidence with pledge week is a conspiracy.

Looks like I asked for a file that doesn't exist.

Is that what was supposed to be linked?

Any chance of getting this in Europe?

(site says US only)

No, it's not. It's not weekly, either. We do this crap ONCE and it's enough.

Not legally, but since there's really no other way to see it if you're not in the US (to my knowledge) I'm sure you could use one of the many the not-so-legal ways.

I watched it yesterday and loved it. Didn't think it would make the radio to tv translation very well but it did.

But I also have to agree, as good as it was it doesn't really deserve another post.

We at Showtime Online express our apologies; however, these pages are intended for access only from within the United States.

That's not just the streaming part. It's the whole Showtime website. They must be saving a bundle on long distance internet charges. I mean what possible reason could they have for informing people outside the US about US TV shows? Those people don't even have TV yet.

It's not like they could license their shows to be seen in other parts of the world. That's crazy talk. It's Showtime. Not show foreigners time.

The TAL website says I can watch the whole episode for free from Showtime's site, but Showtime's site says I have to be in the US to view anything (even the front page). Drats. Guess I'll have to download elsewhere.
