Charlie Parker, gunslinger

Thomas Sutpen is one of Faulkner's most complex and intriguing characters. His blog, If Charlie Parker was a gunslinger, there’d be a whole lot of dead copycats includes nostalgic collections of rare photographs in serial form. Samples: They Were Collaborators (298) Great Con Artists of the 20th Century (14) Vietnam - Dramatis Personae (7) A is for Arbus (37) Collect 'em All (26) The Golden Age of Prurience (37) Poets are both clean and warm (18). Many wonderful others on the sidebar.

This blog is always a great source for some weird ass stuff. It's one of the few blogs that can still consistantly surprise and amaze me. As an example, I had never seen this William Faulkner quote before.

Great post.

Loved the Jim Jones photo in your Great Con Artists of the 20th Century link. Funny on lots of levels.

His Richard Nixon post was also rather funny. I like this photo.

Tom's mentioned his blog on Usenet several times, and I've never gone to it until today... and now I discover he's co-blogging with two other Usenetizens that I've known for years. I am chagrined. It's an excellent blog.

I've read more than half of Faulkner's works, but I still not quite sure what connection this blog has to do with Faulkner or his literary creation. Or is this just someone who likes Faulkner, using the character's name as a basis to post images they find appealing with occasional odd commentary attached?

Wait, Faulkner has a character who blogs? Time travel anyone?
