It was funny when it was new and unexpected and unique. These derivative works pack less of a punch, more so as they profilerate. If this meme were a celebrity its agent would be screaming for it to take a vacation or break in order to reduce the risk of overexposure and subsequent public backlash...

The first one is kind of trashy and cheap, but inspires someone else to do a slightly better version. And by the time the third or fourth generations come around, it's already old, tired and lame.

The thing about the Star Trek bit was that I found it funny on its own terms, adherence to "lolkitteh" standards be damned. But I find anything remotely Trekular funny. I will titter at the mere mention of "Uhura".
