Clark and Michael

Clark and Michael stars Michael Cera, who you may have seen in Arrested Development, the Tim and Eric Show, and this previous post, but probably not in the movie Knocked Up.

This seemed really fake to me, so I did a bit of snooping:

"There is a comedy video circulating that shows Cera being fired from the Knocked Up set. It's set up to show Michael Cera being the original star of the film, belittling and arguing with the director until the director, Judd Apatow, storms off of the set. This is only a parody of the now-infamous encounter from the I Heart Huckabees set between Lily Tomlin and director David O. Russell, as Michael Cera was never really cast in Knocked Up."Via.

The Clark and Michael thing is pretty funny, although all of this is probably better suited for the thread four posts down.

Yeah, or you could just browse back a few days here on the Blue to find one of the many previous Apataw/Cera promotional posts and remember that Michael Cera is the star of Apatow's other film you've probably already heard about this summer, Superbad. Somebody get the <img> tag, where's the movie poster supposed to go?
After this, you guyz wanna go see Knocked Up?

That's what made me think it was fake. I saw him and thought "Oh, attempt at a viral, much?"

Nice to see I'm not the only one who wasted this afternoon on an Arrested Development/Michael Cera YouTube binge.
Now my evening is wasted, too. Thanks a lot.

I have no idea what Knocked Up or Superbad are, but I've seen more ads in MeFi FPPs for them than I have on TV.

I think that was their intention. Er well not with MeFi specifically but, y'know. Viral.

I thought the fake firing was an obvious spoof of the Lily Tomlin/David O. Russell thing posted on the blue a while back.

My first comment ever and I miss reading something italicized in the third comment. Way to go, me.

The True Jesii Inc. would have not missed it.
There is no True Jesii Inc. That corp. was liquidated after being sold off by it's parent company.

The Michael Cera/Knocked Up video was posted in the first comment in the last Apatow thread.

This isn't so much an Apatow thread as it is a Michael Cera thread...

I didn't say this was an Apatow thread, I said the Michael Cera video was posted in the last Apatow thread. Which it turns out was not actually the last Apatow thread.
Anyway, resume your regular activities please.

Sorry, I'm just a little peeved by the knocked up backlash, and I wish I hadn't included that link. I just thought the Clark and Michael show was really worth sharing.

This is awesome. (The knocked up link was good too.) Also If people bitch about what you post on this site, the trick is to just call them mother fuckers.

Michael and Clark was hilarious, though. Maybe it was just because it had the same flash interface, but it reminded me of Flight of the Conchords. Check that out if you've not seen it.
