Noah Scalin explores different media and techniques to come up with a Skull a Day. Yes, there are pancakes. via Neatorama
You see custom shaped books all the time, but only for kids. I'm going to guess that One Rectilinear Shape makes it easier for publishers to print and pack, not to mention bookstores to shelve.

If the one made of tea was made of tobacco instead, that would be a clever and effective (maybe?) anti-smoking ad.

sort of like the Absolut vodka ads. For a time you admire and think they are clever and then a bit later on you see how they are stretching things to continue a series that would be better off if ended.
