The skull book was really interesting and makes me wonder why we rarely see custom shaped books. I once saw a tech book published by Microsoft that had round corners, which looked surprisingly nice.

You see custom shaped books all the time, but only for kids. I'm going to guess that One Rectilinear Shape makes it easier for publishers to print and pack, not to mention bookstores to shelve.

sort of like the Absolut vodka ads. For a time you admire and think they are clever and then a bit later on you see how they are stretching things to continue a series that would be better off if ended.
