In the Sharkrunners game , players control their ships, but the sharks are controlled by real-world white sharks with GPS units attached to their fins (...) every shark that players encounter corresponds to a real shark in the real world. via information aesthetics

So far this seems to be approximately the most boring game I've ever played. I say this as a pretty rabid Shark Week fan.

But it sounds so good...

I'm friends with the guys at the company that put this together -- area/code. If you think this is cool, you should definitely keep your eyes open for some of the new games and interactive stuff they've got coming down the pipe. Awesome shizz...

I just started a boat new San Luis Obispo. I'm headed for a shark at top speed that's 50 miles away. I should be there in, oh, four hours.

Hunting sharks is hard.

Is there a part in the game where you have to prostitute yourself for grants to get the cash to have these research missions?

Is there a way to just view the shark location data without playing the game?

I logged in again. I missed the shark from last night. Now I'm headed for a pair of the buggers. I'll be near them in three hours.

Again ... hunting sharks is hard.
