Huh. You know, I was going to look around for a community oriented site just like this later tonight. Thanks a ton for posting it!

I'm curious though if you have spent time on this site, and have been able to take the temperature of the community? General member demographic, maturity level, etc?

The site has been around for a long time, at least since 1998 that I'm aware of. The developer, Jodi Krangel, is a delight.

I'll be damned. This very concise guide (pdf link) to Linking Guitar and Vocals through Parallel Melodies just crystallized a concept I have been trying to define for months. There is a lot of awesome information on this site.

On preview: 1998? Well, I'd say that probably speaks to the caliber of the community then. Thanks again for this link.

No, it really wasn't. It wasn't even Fender's first solid body electric guitar. If they can get this simple fact wrong, what else have they gotten wrong?
