Neat pop-sci timeline of the origins of man - references and citations included. Uses pop-ups nicely. SWF.

SWF? Do you mean SFW (as in safe for work) or that it's a Flash site?

The URL ends SWF: it's a Flash site. Maybe try it - you'll like it!

I'm trying to cut down on my Flash Intake. It gives me gas.

Click it. I liked it. Learned stuff.

Also, oddly foreshadowed in rottytooth's post.

Never seen it. Clicked through it and liked it. Couple things stand out - the importance of climate, rouge volcanoes and beach-combing.

BTW this FPP fits nicely with the one I made earlier today, the The Fleeting World, which gives a nice overview of human history using the "Big History" approach.
