There are several ways to roam the world. But if you want to do it like a king, you have to master this. Maybe mix it with that. Or this (spanish spoken here). Then, you can bring your old acoustic guitar, hit the street and sing.

nicolin, brother, you're a little confused: your correction of the this link goes to the same link. I think all this gypsy music has gone to your head!

I really dig how percussive the guitar technique in flamenco can be.

Check out Manitas de Plata, tearing it up!
And making a little noise with Salvador Dali and Jose Reyes! Of course, you may not want to roam the world. You might just wanna play the guitar for that most time-honored of reasons: to, er, hang out with Brigitte Bardot. I mean, dig that look in her eye as Manitas lays down the sound!

Brilliant clip, flapjax.

Could anyone else touch Bardot for that sweetly pornographic grin?

As much as I like Flamenco, and as fun as it must be to use your strumming hand as a kind of percussion, I can't help but wonder how awkward it must be to have to walk around all day with your fingernails all grown out like picks.

And those claws are only on one hand. I mean, it's not even balanced. You can't just say, "Oh, I'm a goth hard-core Vampire, man," because they'll just say, "Oh yeah, then why's your other hand all normal?"

I had a Russian acquaintance who was a Flamenco prodigy (his performance instrument was a gift from Paco de Lucia). He used to spend hours shaping the fingernails of his plucking hand, like a masculine version of a Valley Girl. Not for me.
