That is just terrible. *watches it again*

I suddenly find myself without a brain...if I could still experience sensations, I might find it almost pleasant. Thanks, growabrain!

Hogwash. No politician is that flexible.

Proof that she's spineless?

Although it is lame, I am drawn to it. I find the whole process rather soothing.

That headshot picked for that is just damn priceless.

do not want. kthxby.

It's like Hillary's working her way through my large intestine.

it is utterly inane, but just like triv, I find it enormously soothing.

Hi, I'm Hillary Clinton and I find this incredibly creepy.

I'm not really Hillary Clinton.

Now all we need is for someone to make Barack Obama Rising.

Her panting when she gets "stuck" is the creepiest part.
posted by wfc123 at 9:31 AM on October 9, 2007 [1 favorite]

The uncanny valley thing is freaking me out - her incessant smile particularly.
posted by wsg at 9:32 AM on October 9, 2007

I prefer that awesome animated gif of Hillary pooping out her mouth, but alas, the internet obscures it from mine eye.
posted by Ambrosia Voyeur at 9:33 AM on October 9, 2007

She looks so presidential.

playing this while listening to trance is just... oodly soothing. and it could be anyone's face (as long as it carries a similar expression). Sending the character spinning around and off at fast speeds; to swan dive in nothingness to then glide around.. soothing.
posted by ruthsarian at 9:42 AM on October 9, 2007

It's funny because if you film her talking, in some frames she'll have an unflattering expression, and you can paste that onto things.

...onto things from 2005.

Didn't they do one of these for Dubya a few years back? I seem to remember sitting at my desk and flinging him around and wishing there was a "splosh of arterial blood on impact" effect. This may have been a dream I had.

On this same page, there's also a link to the Bush version -- look in the upper right.

Eep. Too quick to open and close the page, I was.

I wish that was a Che bikini.

Yeah that was creepy. My skin won't stop crawling.

Bikini? So I guess there's no getting around all the blatant sexism around Hillary running, eh?
posted by spiderskull at 10:36 AM on October 9, 2007

Rumor is the developers are working on a be-Speedo'd Fred Thompson version.
posted by cog_nate at 10:49 AM on October 9, 2007

On an unrelated note, has anyone noticed that Hillary's head seems really, really large? Like Mr. Mackey's on South Park? I mean in real life, not just on this silly little screensaver.
posted by DenOfSizer at 10:51 AM on October 9, 2007

Big head = lots of brains.

Sounds stupid, but hat size, as I recall, correlates pretty strongly with IQ.
posted by Malor at 10:57 AM on October 9, 2007

Have you noticed that once she lands on something, that face becomes a horrifying rictus of death? Because that's freakin' me.
posted by Bookhouse at 10:58 AM on October 9, 2007

be-speedo'd Fred

That's the first successful Googlewhack I've ever done.
posted by MtDewd at 11:07 AM on October 9, 2007

Bikini clad Hilary immediately got stuck, and stayed there. When the fan in my laptop came on, I closed the tab.

Possibly not the best screensaver.

This was originally known as Tetka falling through the bubbles and apparently it's very easy to modify the decompiled SWF and do fun stuff with it.

You can click and drag her, by the way.

"Bill, what are you doing on the computer?"

"Oh, nothing..."

She looks so much like Jane Lynch that I can't see anything else.
posted by hermitosis at 11:39 AM on October 9, 2007

I'd hit vote for it.
posted by Kibbutz at 11:41 AM on October 9, 2007

Ah, I remember the original. This is... interesting.

For some reason I want to see this with Dhalsim from Street Fighter.

pantsuit

Really? We can't just call it a "suit" by now, regardless of the gender of the person wearing it?
posted by poweredbybeard at 12:51 PM on October 9, 2007 [1 favorite]

Not when wearing a skirt suit or a pantsuit to a paricular event is a focus-grouped descision, no, we can't.
posted by Ambrosia Voyeur at 12:53 PM on October 9, 2007

I tried it and my Hillary got stuck between two bubbles and just sort of folded up into a tweedy mess.

Is this the sort of complaint I should bring up with congress, or will that get me disappeared?
posted by CheeseburgerBrown at 12:59 PM on October 9, 2007

The Bush one made me happy when I discovered I could catch him between bubbles, and pull parts of him through. Like just his head, or one arm, leaving him dangling, mangled, until I released him only to fall again.

Plus sometimes when you stop clicking you get this keen rubber band effect that rockets him off in strange directions.

Even in a bikini, she's oddly unsexy. Maybe if she'd worn heels?
posted by pax digita at 2:06 PM on October 9, 2007

Aw, she's gotten wedged head first between two balls. It's a wedge issue.
posted by nola at 2:22 PM on October 9, 2007

Aren't the two tags synonymous?
posted by Pollomacho at 2:36 PM on October 9, 2007

Pax, what are you talking about. Those flats are so sexy when paired with a bikini. Rowl!
posted by bpm140 at 2:47 PM on October 9, 2007

The manic smile just doesn't go with the freefall thing. The Bush one with the kind of dopey dazed expression fit the situation much better.
posted by localroger at 3:28 PM on October 9, 2007

That is tasteless and inane.
posted by sindark at 3:33 PM on October 9, 2007

The click and drag feature means I can shake her like a terrier shakes a rat. A floppy, floppy rat.
posted by Iron Rat at 3:46 PM on October 9, 2007

If I drag her around by her head, sometimes she looks like a cartoon character who smells a pie on a windowsill and starts floating towards it.
posted by tepidmonkey at 4:05 PM on October 9, 2007

I hope this doesn't encourage people to objectify and despise her.
