David Gildersleeve's art

David Gildersleeve is hell of artist, but it's his wordless "boy prints" that really stand out, despite the not so good web interface.

Other prints can be found under prints>boy prints. Poke around in the gallery and paintings for other good stuff.

That stargazer one is wonderful.

(Shades of Kurt Halsey, and screw the haters, that's a compliment.)

I love the Stargazer one, gonna buy it this weekend or next. He's a local artist, actually was in a couple of classes he taught, back in college.

The sequencing in “but dad said” is really well done.

Cute, but....a print? Seriously? "But Dad Said" is Family Circus-level humor in a slightly novel frame format.

Funny ... the dead rabbit strip made me think of Calvin for some reason, but then to set me straight, the next one I click is titled Not Calvin.

I imagine it just exposes me as a small-minded hater, easily manipulated by the artist, but "Not Calvin" kinda turned me against him.

Yes, your favorite web comic sucks.

I like the boy print series, but can't he ever do a piece that isn't a grid? i would love the Stargazer piece if it wasn't segmented like a normal strip.

I kept expecting to mouse over the image and get a funny punchline, XKCD style. They are kind of a nice quick read, though. All the "stories" are fairly predictable boy-ish archetypes, but it's always nice seeing someone trying their unique hand at telling them.

Also, my personal favorite is "Slow Death at the Mall".... because I uh... still feel like that sometimes.
