Oh man, this is terrible news. I saw them play in August for my birthday and they were wonderful, much more in the vein of '60s psychedelic garage rock now than the industrial noise and techno they're most known for. Poor Genesis. He's been through so much.

I never knew exactly why Genesis P-Orridge made himself look like a woman. I'm amazed at their commitment to each other.

I've been looking everywhere - can someone point me to pictures of them standing side-by-side? Also, is there some kind of timeline or slideshow for their Breyer P-Orridge project?

Yes, but I can also do you one better; one on top of the other. (don't worry, sfw)

Never been a big G. P-O fan, but very sad nonetheless.

You can read something about his reasons for the Pandrogyny project on Gen's Web site here.

Some more about it here, as well.

I'm not sure about side-by-side pictures. Interestingly, having seen them both within the past month or so, they really don't look all that much like each other. Last I checked, there were some pictures of the whole band on the Psychic TV MySpace page, but no side-by-side comparisons.

I've never been into what they are into, but I find this very, very sad indeed, he must love her so much.

Jesus. Stomach cancer.

If you have a copy of Re/Search's Modern Primitives, there are nude shots of the two of them together showing their piercings and tattoos.

More about Pandrogny here as well.

That wasn't her. That was Paula, his first wife, and the mother of his daughter Caresse.

I had no idea Psychic TV was still active. Funny - just last week I was culling old albums, and put "Dreams less sweet" in the save pile.
