Jon Udell's Heavy Metal Umlaut: The Movie screencast was released in early 2005. It appeared in an earlier metafilter post about screencasting and Jon Udell (as well as couple of other places on metafilter in 2005). Still cool though.

I started watching it, but his voice lulled me to sleep... felt as though I was watching a computer tutorial or something.

Jon Udell is great. I sort of lost track of him in the past couple years, but I always found him to be one of the most lucid, intellegent, and imaginitive writers in the tech world. I love reading his stuff.

Never heard of Jon Udell, but he certainly has the standard-issue Intelligent American Male Voice®.
