"I am being tortured with Microwaves, Radio Waves and much more because I and others are trying to make this information public." The other atrocities you've associated with the Bush administration are nothing compared to this. Set your faces to "stunned."

This post was deleted for the following reason: pointing and laughing at the mentally ill people is sort of tired and not a particularly awesome post for metafilter -- jessamyn

Can't a little foil lining in the cap cure this? You know, we have moved so far beyond the 60's. We know how to protect ourselves from this outrageous government interference. It's not the mind control beams we need to worry about, it's the black helicopters, or is that just too 90's?

Why do we make fun of people with mental illnesses? We wouldn't post the website of someone with a physical disability and say "Ha! Look at the pictures of her in her wheelchair! Lol!" but we do this regularly with people with mental illnesses. It is probably hard on this guy to have these delusions and this paranoia. It is probably hard on his family. I know a lot of people enjoy the batshitinsane posts, but it just seems wrong to me.

Garden-variety schizophrenic paranoid delusion, with delusions of reference and delusions of thought control. Really the most ordinary thing you'd care to see on the locked ward. ND¢ said it very well and I agree wholeheartedly.

Why do we get nauseous from getting dizzy? There is no poison for the body to rid itself of. What is the evolutionary benefit of coughing your cookies from motion sickness? I read an article that answered that the reason is that the part of the brain that gets excited when we get dizzy is near the part of the brain that triggers the body to vomit out toxins. The neurons bleed over and the effect is transferred from one part of the brain to the other. Same article suggested that schizophrenia is a similar mechanism in which the auditory processing part of the brain gets stimulated and thinks it is hearing what are actually the person's own thoughts. Which may make you wonder about the experiences of the deaf schizophrenics: According to this, Hearing people commonly believe that deaf patients cannot experience auditory hallucinations. This is not the case. Deaf patients can hear voices, even if they have been deaf from birth and have never heard sound".

I guess this guy's site made me think about schizophrenia.

spock, I'm more interested in why I get dizzy when I'm drunk. Seriously. It makes no sense. I mean, I understand, hey - you've been drinking Pilsner Urquell all night Balrog - you shouldn't be on metafilter, the only reasonable punishment would be dizziness and a desire to fall asleep on the floor. But it doesn't seem fair. I'm going to bed now. gnight.

But seriously, I agree with both sides because I'm wishy-washy. On one side, it must totally suck to live inside your head when you're mentally ill. On the other, most people's gut reactions to things that go against rationality is to laugh. Or to cry. Or a little of both.

Not being a purveyor of the batshitinsane wing of the nets or those hanging out at the drugstore, when confronted with this kinda literature as a joke, I just roll my eyes and sigh, yeah, yeah. I'll tend to read anything handed to me by a schizophrenic on the street, cry a bit, and then laugh at the liberal sprinkling of extra "quotation" marks, often in CAPITAL "LETTERS." Have there been any studies done on this phenomenon?</small

The one study I read said that improper use of "small" tags is the first sign of pending problems.

It was probably a very "small" sample, though.

Good morning MeFites, this is your WAKE UP CALL

Did you know that the US Government is making you all agree with each other, for once?

You and others are being attacked with Directed Energy Non Lethal Electromagnetic and Neurological Weapons . These weapons include the use of Radio waves, Microwaves, acoustic weapons and other energy forms. Microwaves and Radio Waves are used to access someone's brain to control to their thoughts (Remote Comment Writing). You are being controlled with Microwaves, Radio Waves and much more because Mayor Curley and others are trying to make this information public.

Aside from that, I agree with the comments above.

Sometimes I walk up Stockton Street in San Francisco or take the 30 Stockton from 3rd Street between Market and Stevenson Alley. As some may know, this route goes directly through Chinatown and the sidewalks and buses both are elbow-to-elbow crowded and pushy. Yet I never feel any malevolence on the 30 Stockton like I would, say, on the 38 Geary. I guess most everyone's from Hong Kong and thus used to the crush.

Sometimes I see a European or American, otherwise not-with-it tourist, or even a local "crazy person" (business-attired, cell-phoned, employed, in a hurry) tear madly up Stockton Street, cursing the locals, yelling or shoving at 80 year old tiny women on the bus, eliciting the general displeasure of the otherwise peaceful-but-crowded group.

All kinds of people are crazy. They show it in different ways, I guess.
