Jesus, like the Gere gerbil rumor wasn't debilitating enough.

10%. Shameful.

Yeah, that was the one I got. The only match that was kind of a gimme, really.

10%.

I don't think I'm allowed to post another Britney post again now.

Britney? Are you referring to Britney Frederick Spears? The professional harlot?

Wait, that site is supposed to make me "feel smart...again!"

1) I already feel smart
2) I didn't get any right, so...

That site actually made me feel dumb!

Only got one right.

But let me reiterate something I paid good money on a subscritption to learn:

The entire production and design staff of Mental_Floss must be punished for their crimes, and made an example.

Some of these must be family surnames--that's how I came up with "grade".

On what basis am I supposed to be able to do the matchups?

HOW SMART ARE YOU

I rolled a pair (one red, one blue) of dice 5 times. Figure out which red value went with which blue value!

Red Blue
1     5
6     2
3     4
2     1
4     6

My name is Sue! How do you do?

I got 50%. Much better than I expected. And my assumption is that some of these are family surnames too. Especially Richard Gere's.

I got 40% purely by trying to guess how Irish they were.
I feel bad for Richard Gere. Shannon, Paige, Regan: those could go either way. Not his.

The average number of fixed points in a random permutation of a finite set is 1, independent of the size of the set. So all you people getting 1 right nailed the average (that would be expected for pure guesswork). More than 1, you did better than chance alone would predict!

10% --- which oddly comforts me.

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Gere's mother, Doris Anna (née Tiffany), was a homemaker...

Marion Morrison would kick all there slightly-feminised-named asses.

I put Tracy for Richard Gere, on the off-chance he was named after a cartoon character. No dice.
