That was pretty awesome. Poignant but not sappy. Thanks for sharing!

Just fantastic. Excellent find. Really need to buy those Flight antohologies...

Brilliant! Hated cyclops plays SimCity - I love it.

Is Flight 4 any better than the first three installments? I really, really liked the visuals in many of those anthologies, but as storytelling goes many of the bits were pretty awful- insubstantial, plotless, and forgettable.

I don't know, 40 watt - but in the link you can check out little previews of what's available. It's hard to tell, so I'll probably be leafing through it at a comic shop before plunking down the cheese.

That was great! I'm ashamed to admit I haven't picked up the Flight anthologies yet - every artist I've stumbled upon that has been worth a damn has been involved with them in some capacity or other.

I definitely agree with you. I love the anthologies overall, and there are a number of stories that are both visually and narratively fantastic (especially editor Kazu Kibuishi's own comics), but they're certainly padded with a large dose of boring.

(Upfront, I should say that I really, really like the Flight books on the whole, though of course, some bits do leave me cold.)

My opinion of Flight 4 was "more of the same, in a good way." So if you didn't like the first three, I'd probably save the fourth one for a quick skim in a bookstore rather than buying it.

So the mysterious giant that is sorta invisible, and protects us, and kinda scares the hell out of us, is actually cyclops and not god?

Or are you saying that cyclops is god?

Because I could get behind worshiping any divinity that snatches birds out of the air for a quick snack.

Awesome find BLF.
