Somewhere in this burlesque show, there's a kid begging not to be born.

Whether it is a big event or a small one, it will most definitely be a... Fairy Tale Wedding.

I know it'll be a man and a woman and all, but I can't help but feel that it's going to go down in history as one of the gayest weddings of all time.

Got to give the man credit for guts.

HuronBob:

No, no, I don't have anything better to do. Find something better to do in Decatur, Illinois at 6:32 a.m. after a crappy day at work and getting stuck there 2.5 hours late and coming home to find my Linux box, which was downloading my Monday night shows, totally blown up, leading to some half-coherent hacking to get it working again, just to discover I am insomniac despite totally avoiding caffeine for hours.

Go on, I dare ya.

greenskpr, the other male Ren Fair people didn't look very happy in those photos.

"This dude is making us look foolish in our codpieces and armour; we're like, totally serious about this shit and he's fucking ruining it with his whole Peter Pan act."

You can't really BAN someone from coming to the Fair, can you?

NO PIXIES ALLOWED. ESPECIALLY NOT THAT ONE DUDE.

This is un-natural. Peter Pan doin Tinkle Bell? It's right out of the creepy adult comic book section with sweaty guys in trench-coats.

You're acting like a bunch of schoolyard kids, cruelly taunting someone who actually dares to be different than you are. Would you feel better if he offed himself like the MySpace girl?

Try some tolerance and compassion -- you'll sleep better and smile more frequently. And maybe it'll come back to help you someday.

I'm thrilled for him -- after reading his site however many years ago, it was pretty clear that he would have a tough time finding a partner. I wish them both the best.

Didn't really check the Ren Faire photos out.

I'm jealous. All our attendees were just plain natural. Well, except for all the minor nobility and people who thought something from Franklin Mint was really a sword...

(Plus I just don't apparently remember there being so MUCH Tinkerbell.)

I really like this guy. Initially I had a really unpleasant visceral response to his site, but over time I began to understand. I emailed him a couple years ago to point out some sites that were using his pictures in a really disgustingly mean way; in his response he said not to worry, that he wasn't bothered. He said he was used to people having a little fun at his expense and that he just chose to ignore it. He was incredibly nice.

Some people really are who and what they say they are. It's funny (and sad) how frustrating or ridiculous that is to others.

I've seen him around a few times. (Did not quite have the nards to approach a full-grown man in a Peter Pan costume, and what would I say anyway? Hi, we laughed about you on Metafilter?) He was very shiny, and very sparkly, and wearing a very bright shade of green.

Mostly though, I noticed he seemed totally thrilled to be out and about, hanging with his friends, doing his Peter Pan thing. As far as I'm concerned, dude, go on and let your freak flag fly.

On topic... I have to confess that the Peter Pan guy has always reminded me of Rodney Bingenheimer in many, many ways (not just hairstyle). An unusual duck, that Rodney.

Oh wow you guys are right. In that video he's so much less effeminate than I was expecting. I imagined his voice would be much higher and mannerisms much different. I did NOT expect him to have the voice of a Brooklyn cab driver. I'm freaking out.

Although that said, that weird giggle he does while hiding behind trees is exactly what I expected.
