Midi plus Art plus Cleverness with video game nostalgia then put up on Youtube -- What does that equal? Beats me, but it sure looks and sounds cool.

hattariyaro isn't the first to do this but he's the first to see the potential of embedding art into the midi.

In midi he might be first but Aphex Twin has some compelling prior art.

Oh, neat. I was enthralled with the Music Animation Machine videos when I first saw them. It sounds like doing classic video game songs would work out well, but the videos aren't very interesting. They aren't nearly as watchable as the originals. The Scarlatti video is my favorite.

Very neat.

They're also a great example of an optical illusion. The youtube window seems to slide to the right when the song is over.

Stephan Malinowski is a personal inspiration to me, right up there with Chris Crawford. . .

I wasn't expecting the embedded stuff to actually be part of the music from Skorgu's earlier comment about the 'Devil Face.'

I also wasn't expecting it to be so awesome without the embedding novelty. These are great.

The third FPP link's jazzy treatment confirms my faith in Wily stage 1 being the best piece of video game music ever.

But wfrgm's link tests it.
