Northpoint shutdown halted... for now. Looks like they'll still be dead in 30 days, though. I wonder how they're going to keep running their network without any employees. [CNN link, deal.]

Here in Dallas, Verio was the reseller for our DSL service from northpoint. We now have 5 useless IP addresses and home machines with no connection to the internet. This irks me to no end. They didn't call, they didn't write - no e-mail, nothing. Here's the kicker: We called to report problems and they gave us a service ticket number and said they would look into it, all the while know that the plugs had been pulled at Northpoint and that this was the problem. Cocksuckers.
