Old Russia again

The Alexander Palace Time Machine. This deep site on pre-revolutionary Russia was not at all unearthed as a result of noting this bit of news today. The site was linked in passing previously this past August, in a post about the exact news the Times is reporting today.

Even if you're not interested in the subject matter the site itself is a work of art. Those people know graphic design.

Wow, that's huge.

Different building, but if you haven't yet seen Russian Ark, you need to. Just incredible, one of the best things I've ever seen on screen.
