I don't know what's up with the "no shower" business, but a quick glance at some of those photos shows that they're eating some tasty looking food.

Still... no showers?

I wouldn't eat any of this food, even if they showered. However, I want this bowl. Little birdies!

Yep...looks like home cooking to me. I've lived here for 20 years and still have trouble appreciating the local fare.

The No Shower Family was founded early 2004 by two anti-shower advocates, namely WWW and Koala-G. It has grown from its humble beginnings as a little group espousing the benefits of non-showering to a full fledged organization. In early May 2004, the No Shower Family Corporation was born. Headed by the adorable and sexy WWW, we shout out our battlecry:

Maybe they take baths? I hope?

Alas, they must take pictures of their food because they smell so bad nobody will join them in person to eat it.

I hope there isn't a food blog of the No Wash Hands family.

Nothing whets the appetite like this being served at the next table over.

OT: I've always enjoyed how systematic the Taiwan city names are: Taipei, Taichung, Tainan. North, middle, south.

Do not want!

Heh, that was the one dish that made me think 'Oooh! I wonder what that's like!'.

Best food on earth if you combine how healthy, cheap and available it is. I miss Chinese food.

But there's no way they wouldn't be able to go our un-healthy ways too...

There are a lot of good foodporn photos there. Nevertheless, I respectfully wish to introduce the No Shower Family to the concept of WHITE BALANCE.

Amusing project + great food pix + strangeness = great FPP. Cool.

Kick ass! I lived in Tainan for two and a half years. What a great place.

Apparently at least one of them (WWW) does take occasional showers.

You know, come to think about it, they have a point about the no showers. After all, most showers use what, 1.5 gallons of water a minute? That's 15 gallons for a 10-minute shower. Unless you're using that gray water effectively, that's an embarrassing waste.
posted by mrgrimm at 6:38 PM on December 11, 2007

Personally I think that's fifteen gallons well spent, if the alternative is smelling like the south end of a northbound water buffalo.

Would it be better if we recycled water, particularly in areas where there are too many people? Definitely. But let's not throw civilization out with the (literal) bathwater.

Anyway, besides the no-shower issue, it's an interesting link.

That "fried chicken steak" does look amazing. (Amazingly bad for me, too, but that's the price you pay I guess.)
