I really wish the writers' strike would end. I have no idea what's going on in the world these days without the Daily Show.

I dunno about that. Things seem a mite more peaceful in recent weeks. Like all that talk about the Iraq war and how America sucks so much compared to all those other countries that hate us.. I just haven't heard so much about that. It's been kinda nice! I don't have so much self-loathing in my heart due to the luxurious coincidence of benevolent geography at my birth!

I'm beginning to think we should pay American writers to shut up all the time!

If the Daily Show is your only source of news, you need fewer sources of news.

People who report getting their news from the Daily Show are better informed than those who report getting their news from FOX News.

Of course, so are squirrels.

OK, now, you totally stole that from Jon Stewart. Totally.

Actually, I think the heirarchy is "squirrels are better informed than people who get their news from the Daily Show are better informed than people who get their news from FOX." The ubersuckage of conservatives doesn't change the suckage of the Daily Show.

So, it's now officially cool to rank on The Daily Show?

the suckage of the Daily Show.

If you had started your comment with those words it would have saved me the time to read it.

Why hasn't Fox news shut down because of the writers strike?

Because Fox only uses non-unionized writers?

Despite promises to the contrary, the Daily Show videos continue to be unavailable in Canada. Unhappy with this.

A glaring omission from these lists: "Fruit Juice," exposing the orange juice industry's hidden gay agenda.

Why hasn't Fox news shut down because of the writers strike?

Because this strike only applies to writers of fiction and comedy?

Oh wait. You have a point.

*pulls out an elaborate colorful chart*

See here, this chart proves conclusively that squirrels are better informed than people who get their news from The Daily Show. Squirrels are also better informed than the viewers of FOX news, ABC News, CNN, CBS, PBS, NBC, NPR, CPR, ELO, EMI, and The Real News combined: Squirrels know beyond a shadow of a doubt exactly where all the nuts are. The rest of us just think we do.

ELO?
CPR?
EMI?

I need better news sources.

It would take a pretty uninformed person to try to view National Public Radio.
