"We have the chance to accomplish two other things: to provide a model for what a truly sincere, forthright, and courageous Presidential candidate might look like, and to demonstrate how desperate America’s voters are to see one." Jesus in 2008!

Just what we need -- another candidate who didn't do anything much before age 30, cruising on his family connections, who's still going to be hailed as Jesus on Fox News.

Jesus would never be hailed as Jesus on Fox News. They'd play the clip of him smashing the money changers tables over and over to torpedo him a la Dean's YEARGH.

The media will crucify him.

He'd be gunned down cold by the C.I.A.*

Oh great, if this goes forward, we are going to have to deal with four years of hearing about Magdalen-gate.

Some of the issues He raised in his last major stump speech seemed interesting, but I suspect the crowd might go with Barabbas again.

A warning to Jesus, from Mike Tyson:

"When Jesus comes back, these crazy, greedy, capitalistic men are gonna kill him again."

...and I agree

Is this semitic Jesus or republican Jesus we're talking about here?

Umm... at 33, isn't he two years too young by Article II? Let's be realistic, people.

I had a lot of trepidation going to the site, but looking through it, the idea, from an intellectual standpoint, is kind of appealing to toss around. They've eliminated miracles and Rapture from the platform; maybe it will cause a few people to think about Jesus as the socio-political aikidōka that he (or elements of his original composite figure) was, rather than the Messianic figure he became.

Is this the same Jesus that Bush has been talking to for the past 7 years?

Do not want.
