Prof Lakshminarayanan Mahadevan looks at the physics of wrinkles, creases and folds - from the small to the very large (video demos), feeds his venus flytrap, then rides on his magic carpet.

You know, they send me this magazine every month, for whatever reason, and I never read it (well, except for the personal ads, which are a guilty pleasure). I kept this issue on the coffee table, though, because I meant to read this article. Thanks for posting it here. Guess I can recycle the magazine now.

His hippy-dippy attitude about science is actually pretty neat. And I wouldn't mind a flying carpet. Just saying.
