vagabondish "The Travelzine for Today's Vagabond" offers lots of tips for travellers. And if, like me, travel isn't really in your near future, you can check out the dispatches.

This brings back memories: back in the mid-70s, when I was a teen, I bought a book called "Vagabonding in America", which I read eagerly as I anticipated my "life on the road" that lay ahead. And I remember my dad once seeing the book and saying, in a disgusted tone, "So, you want to be a vagabond?" Ha ha!

Anyway, just googled it, and it seems it's back in print!

Make sure you take your passport if you try the Mexican Border Crossing trip, otherwise take copious notes turning the training!!

Will domain names get even worse in web 3.0? I'm surprised this isn't Vagabondr.

For obvious reasons, Vagbondage is already taken.

Nice - the tone reminds me of the World's Most Dangerous Places which, despite the Discover Channel-esque title is actually a pretty good primer on the various brushfire wars and strife ongoing around the globe. Actually using it as a guidebook like you would a Lonely Planet? Not so much. But it's a good read. I'll be adding this to the feeds, cheers.

flapjax at midnite: Pretty sure I have a copy of that book, I was also a teen in the mid-70's. When I go to pick up my mom for mother's day dinner I'll look, it's in her house somewhere.

fixedgear: Cool! Once you dig up your copy and get back up to speed on all that, we'll get together and hitchhike around the country! (I'll bring some of my old Grateful Dead records!)
