They spanked me once. I told them they didn't spank me hard enough.

I love the Spankers, but come on... four YouTube links, including one that was posted here in a previous post, ...and two previous posts? Is that all ye got?

I love 'em too (linked to them in the recent drug songs thread, even) but give us a little more here. At least link to their home page or something.

Ah, you saw them last night, too, huh? Were you the guy who shushed me and my drunk friend?

Great show, great band. They were great when I first saw them ten years ago. Even better now.

if you toasted me and said "peace" then yes I am. It was only my second show, but I can't wait for more. :)

Double. Or triple. Yeah, we've heard of this band already. Haha. LOL. Next.

You know, before I moved to Austin, I was told it was the MUSIC CAPITAL OF THE WORLD. Moving from Houston, which had an awesome punk rock scene and shows every weekend in every conceivable genre, and a major arena where big arena bands always made a stop, I was dubious. Then I got here and discovered... a bunch of hippie-dippy shit like the Asylum Street Spankers and a million cookie-cutter Stevie Ray Vaughn clones playing boring, pedantic white man blues. Although there were plenty of shows to see, half of them sucked. I still laugh every time I get off a plane coming home and see the "WELCOME TO AUSTIN - LIVE MUSIC CAPITAL OF THE WORLD" sign in the little walkway from the plane to the terminal.

The last time I looked I couldn't find the Pussycat Song on YouTube, so thanks for the link, hypersloth.

I saw them a couple of years ago and a) really liked their music and b) absolutely hated their preciousness with their freakin' all-acoustic sound and making everyone sit down (on the floor in this venue) and not letting anyone dance. The music you're playing is DANCE MUSIC, fools! People wanna dance!

That said, Breathin' is still an all-time favorite song of mine, and their fiddle player on that tour was hot. Still not gonna see 'em live again, though.
