I came here in peace, seeking gold and slaves. But you have treated me like an intruder. Maybe it is not me who is the intruder but you.

Great article, optovox.

This is all FAKE! FAKE, I SAY!!

Probably viral, too. And outer space viral is the worst kind.

You may have lasers and rocket ships and all that; but can they stand up to a good old knuckle sandwich. I think not.

I have desperately tried, but failed, to come up with a pun on the word "alien" and the term "illegal alien" without being racist.
For this I apologize.

Your superior intellect is no match for our puny fists!

Same as it ever was.

GoingToShopping---
I feel your pain.
I've been experimenting with "we need a bigger fence" imagery, but it just ain't clicking.
Bring your Powerbook and your intern to Warren's place at six-- we'll brainstorm over some Ketel.

Which episode is that where Scotty and Chekov get in the brawl with the Klingons? I'd forgotten about it, but I suddenly NEED it. :)

Not sure which orfiginal series episode it is but isn't that one of the scenes used in trials and tribbulations in DS9?

They missed the best one of all: Ripley vs Alien (youtube, about 3 minutes in).

I would say that technically Cylons aren't aliens, any more than a home-made toaster is.

Whoever edited that video needs to be socked.

Whoever edited that video needs to be socked by an alien.

The Trouble with Tribbles is one of the most famous TOS episodes ever for several reasons. It was one of the funniest ST:TOS comedy episodes, climaxing with the iconic scene of William Shatner buried under a small mountain of furry tribbles, and writer David Gerrold wrote a fascinating book about it, The Making of the Trouble with Tribbles, which alas seems to be long out of print. (I think Gerrold might intend to have it online as an e-book, but right now his site is down.)

Remember to extend the fist when punching god.

That was so much worse than it could have been.

That really needed the sound effects to go with the punches. It was amazing how fake it all looked without the sound to go along with the stunts.

The Batman vs Predator scene was from a fan-made trailer, I believe.

I never have any problems with the smoothness of flash video, but this one is lurching and dropping frames, even with the full video in buffer. Anyone else having the problem?

Hey fings, thanks for that, it's been forever since I saw that ep. Hard to recall how back before cable TV it seemed like it ran every other week in syndication.

Welcome to Earth, bitches, localroger. It's welcome to Earth, bitches.

This is fantastic if only for the expression on Avery Brook's (Commander Sisko) face after he drops Q.

"Illegal" alien humor...

Don't punch them, put them to work. Those 4-armed ones will pick oranges twice as fast.

The big question is: should we be allowing martians to get drivers' licenses?

And if you don't discourage them, will we end up with a bunch of AM radio stations playing Klingon Opera?

"Reminded me a lot of this."

Talk about a waste of resources. I mean we should be out there finding new and intelligent forms of life. You know, fight them.

"Laddy, don't you think you ought to rephrase that?"

"Yes. I didn't mean to say that the Enterprise should be hauling garbage. I meant to say that it should be hauled away AS garbage!"

Oh, nice idea, disappointing execution. In particular, the fact that it was all silent (and covered by a somewhat annoying soundtrack to boot) was a big spoiler for me; a lot of the fun of fights is the sound of punching, and I knew the dialog from some of these scenes (like the ST:OS ones) (plus the editing wasn't very good).

(On preview, stargell nails the specific moment!)
