Want stats? Income, food consumption, the common cold...Fedstats, the "gateway to statistics from over 100 U.S. Federal Agencies", is a treasure trove for info junkies.

The European equivalent is Eurostats. Lots of it for free, some of it for fee. English, French and German. Totally saved my pants this week for a dossier I'm putting together covering 20th century intra-European immigration.
