Hey, speaking of tentacles and cosmic sci-fi, what did everyone think of the latest Futurama?

The price of the book itself is a little steep.
Quite.

Ar[t]ists inspired by Lovecraft? I hope no one is paying $400 for a book full of typos. Needs more tentacle porn.

I enjoyed it, not quite as much as the first one, but it was good. I'm also loving the new theme music. There's a cleaned up version here and an extended remix here.

All that talking about the theme and I didn't even link to Psyche Rock. For shame!

WTF. This is the third time I've heard about Amy and Jeff Vandermeer in the last 5 days after never hearing of them previously. Did I slip into an alternate dimension?

Those tentacles are a lot slicker than I imagined way (way, way) back then, when I first read Lovecraft.

I kinda like the Leviathan collections that Jeff (helped?) publish. Jeff's own book 'Shriek: An Afterward' has some definite lovecraftian inspiration too. They should be available at your local library...
This book looks very pretty, but the price is outrageous.
Just last night I listened to a great BBC radio piece on lovecraft called 'The Strange Life of H.P. Lovecraft'. In six parts, peep them here.
