Nice.

One thing that might improve it would be to obscure the text. Letterforms good, whole words bad. Words are eyeball magnets--so distracting that it's tough to take in the complete image. Stuff like "one" or "July" are passably benign, and cryptic non sequiturs are always fun to puzzle out, but "The Shining"? Ouch.

And if the specific words are there for a reason, i.e. if they're significant, that's even worse: Cheesy, hackneyed, insulting to the viewers' intelligence, betraying the artist's lack of confidence in the pictorial conveyance of ideas, and all that.

The juxtaposition of a minimalist cruciform support covered in chaotic cutout filigree is pretty neat, though a bit obvious. The way it's all camouflaged against the wallpaper is what ultimately saves it, I think.

...and of course just when I'm all like, "Gestalt FTW," I realize that what I thought was wallpaper is in reality just a rug that was handy for photographin'.

So I guess I'd change that, too. Wallpaper, Ms. Twiglet!
