It doesn't matter if you're black or white

Friday Flash Fun: Switch is a game where you are collecting black and white balls. The catch? If you are collecting the black balls, you can't touch the white balls and vice versa. You can, however, switch colors by clicking. In later levels there is an alien that enjoys trading. Enjoy!

This reminds me of the old Dreamcast game, Ikaruga. It was later ported to the Gamecube.

And recently added to Xbox Live.

The Dreamcast version is still the best, though. Because I said so.

Protip: Don't put you mouse at the center of the screen before the round begins.

The Gamecube version faithfullly reproduces the slowdowns that the DC experienced when huge explosions happened.

(such a frustrating game)

What a great little game! It's surprisingly deep; the shape of your accretion can make things harder or easier, the pace and distribution of balls alters difficulty, and you can choose to play it safe or go for big scores. It's only vaguely like Ikaruga with the polarity switch; in every other way is totally different. It's not impossibly difficult, for one. And it's not a shooter.

Level 12 is where it started getting interesting for me.

I can't get it to load. Sounds like fun, anyway. I'll definitely try again later.

I guess, for now, it's back to Amorphous+.

Too many of these cute frustrating little games.

This game is all but unplayable on my computer after level 30 or so (and my computer is not particularly slow). Too much slowdown and herky-jerky jumpiness. There's not all that much, actually, but there's more than enough to ruin a game based on precise movements. Too bad.
