Oooh, yay wonderful book sculptures. Brian Dettmer's and Giorgia Russell's works are unceasingly astonishing to me.

Adding Fore-edge painted books.

I liked that I opened this post right as the last few seconds of Zoolander played, and they panned out on the giant book on the roof of the Derek Zoolander Center For Kids Who Can't Read Good And Wanna Learn To Do Other Stuff Good Too.

what fun looking at all the ways books are used, even though i cannot fully support the notion of cutting books up to use as art. i loved the secret bookshelf door and need to figure out how to make it work in my house. thanks for the post.

The staircase is beautiful, but I agree with the commenter who shuddered at the thought of all the dust and cat hair migrating from the steps to the books. Perhaps they change to clean socks before they use it?
