Welcome to Burma.com How's *this* for net access?! And we sometimes complain about how the government views the net in our own countries... fact is we don't know how good we've got it.

What a depressing article. You know, I'm so far submerged in the tank of middle-class-America that I completely forget there are real people living in places with such fundamental limitations on their lives. I spend all day walking around listening to my discman thinking "big, important thoughts" about my life, fate, The Future, and How Far We've Evolved, and then I email friends to tell them about my neat thoughts. These are the frivolous benefits of freedom and decomcracy. And we can't just mock Burma for passing foolish laws--their government actually works like this, is legitamately interested in limiting the spread of ideas.

Now I'm not feeling well. I'm going to go microwave a burrito and watch some Baywatch or CNN.
