Are you sure luser? I think the best picture of a kitten would BE dead, stiff, and hanging, but from a much thicker line that wasn't concealed.

That picture reminds me of this, except the cat isn't quite as high off the ground (warning, that's a 2mb file, but well worth the download).

I would love to know what equipment was used to take that.

With such an exquisitely short depth of field, short shutter speed, and a rapidly moving (bounding) target, the photographer either had monster reflexes, was incredibly lucky, or spent all afternoon trying to get that perfect shot.

Kudos. I love it.

Silver and an action shot where she looks quite a bit like a gospel singer (or she just got shocked) but she's actually trying to catch the feather on a string that's flying by. And then there is one eye Ansel, my brother's cat that lost an eye to a dog.

Some cute dog pictures of my greyhound, Lovey. (She came with that name, OK? So don't ask.) I also love kitties but sadly Ms. Retired Racer does not.

Of course, I found out today that I'm very allergic to dogs and cats. Might explain the perpetual runny nose.

About a year ago, I kitten-sat for a friend of mine over Memorial Day weekend. A neighborhood cat had just had kittens under their porch and they took them in. Naturally, I took pictures.

The blue in the center of the eye is largely a reflection from the flash, but yeah, their eyes were blue. I understand that sometimes changes as they grow up. They're almost a year old now and they got sent to good homes some time ago, and I moved halfway across the country. I wonder what they look like now? :)
