Thought For The World is an alternative to the BBC's much mocked Thought For The Day.

Contributors include the author and broadcaster Muriel Gray, the philosopher AC Grayling, agony aunt Claire Rayner, Jonathan Bartley of the religious think tank Ekklesia, Guardian Columnist Polly Toynbee, comedian Mark Thomas and Richard Holloway, the former Bishop of Edinburgh.

While we're at it, the BBC should do an occasional or alternative "Match of the Day" for people who don't like football. Prominent non-footballers could stand or run around on a pitch demonstrating other forms of physical exercise; or shout emotionally and enthusiastically about their love of opera and the arts.

"Who's the bastard in the tux?"

"You only sing when the Arts Council funding comes in!"

"You're gonna get your fucking opening night panned in a particularly arch review."
