That's where I play tower defense games!

Viking Defense. Another tower defense game, with a few interesting twists. And, of course, Vikings.
This is based on a previous TD, isn't it? I remember it having four-square buildings and similar maps.

Yeah, it's a sequel to Canyon Defense. It adds underwater units, and the ability to customize individual towers with "runes" that add special abilities.

I think this is a double, though I can't find it, so maybe I'm just confused. Either way, I say this should stand just for the post title.

The lack of consistency in the path of flight creatures kind of ruins the whole calculating, micromanagement aspect. I couldn't be bothered to play past level 2. There's been better version of tower defense games. Fun nonetheless, thanks.

Hmm, I find providing full coverage against flying creeps just part of the challenge, really. YMMV.

But regardless, you can set up towers during the attack, so lack of consistency in the path of flight creatures shouldn't be an issue if you save a little money each turn.

Yeah I had to reload the page too, FF/XP. It remembered my state though.

I loved Canyon Defense, and I'm now on lvl 4 with Viking Defense, and I love it so far. Thanks for posting this.

Yeah, I decided to go back on it and worked around the flying creatures. Level 4 is all sorts of hard.

Yeah, the reload sucks. But at least it seems to cache well enough and the cookies know where you are... FF on OSX.

As soon as you unlock the falcon cliff tower and increase range runes, you can literally replace all of your towers with falcon cliffs with increased range, and maybe some of those towers that slow enemies down.

Y'know, I never really "got" tower defense games before - they always seemed more like work than play. But this, OMIGOD, this game is fun! Might have to reassess my view of the genre.

So does the title mean that it's about Vikings defending, or does it just use the word "Viking" as a euphemism for how good a defense game it is?

Fun, thanks for posting it. However, it's kinda frustrating to be just ready to buy the Temple of Freya and suddenly find that the Level is complete and you have to start over. In that respect, it seems like the first few levels are a waste of time. Would also be nice if it had some of the options found on other Tower Defense games, particularly Fast Forward and the ability to see the characteristics of your enemies.
I like the FPP title, btw.

I wish there were separate controls for music/sounds rather than all or none. Other than that, nice little game.

Okay, just beat the last level. The key is to put all your watchtowers on the bottom island in the beginning to concentrate firepower, and build your trees on the top islands. Then you need to build platforms to block off pathways, after that it's pretty much cake.

I like it when it bugs out and all the flying units zip half way down the screen undamaged. That is a real challenge.

free play is kinda easy. I covered the whole board with the tempest towers and minimized the window about an hour ago. It's up to level 300 or so now.
