Is it wrong this makes me want to color coordinate animals?

I said "wow"--and meant it. Neat!

Do pink dolphins love blue dolphins?

Missing the euphemism tag.

That's one bad sunburn.

I cringed.

I love bottlenose dolphins (I think they're incredibly elegant and intelligent), but I tend to dislike the colour pink. In small hints, it's alright, and it can be useful to call attention to something (e.g. post-it notes, highlighter, TPS' awesome profile), but most shades of pink tend to turn me off.

I guess it's good to know that "anger at colour" > "adoration for animal"? Meh.

Cool find though. Wonder how the difference in outer appearance affects the way the rest of the pod treats it. And if it's the only albino in existence - what happened? Why now, after millennia?

Made me think of this, naturally.

This is way off the charts as daughter-ready projects go.

I wonder if he/she'll last in the wild. (Sorry, I'm a party pooper) But from what I understand, dolphin colorings are so because it helps camouflage them in the water. Or since it's living in a lake it doesn't have any natural predators?

I hope all dolphins, regardless of color, are welcome on Green Dolphin Street.

On second thought, I think they have now realized our weakness for The Cute and this is the beginning of how dolphins take over the world. I knew they were smart but I didn't expect this time to come so soon.

There are pink dolphins in Hong Kong. They aren't albino, but they aren't too pink either, unless they are young. However, because of development (Di$ney and airport) and pollution, they are becoming extinct.

Thanks, this is great. It really rounds out that bender I just went on to wake up and see pink dolphins in the morning...

Dolphins are swell, but these look eerily fetal. Like they haven't had enough time to cook. But nothing damages a dolphin's reputation for sleek awesomeness like a river dolphin.

I misread "Albini dolphin" and wondered what the fuck kind of crazy project Steve was working on now...

Good stuff. I *skweee!*d over the cuteness.

Some Amazon river dolphins are pink but they're hardly cute. Well, maybe the baby is.

Albinism in dolphins may be a beneficial mutation. The survival of many species in the future may depend on their level of cuteness and ability to tug at the heartstrings of people and raise cash for wildlife preservation groups.

I've been to see the pink dolphins in Hong Kong. They are basically penned into a tiny marine reserve by shipping lanes and sewage run off. They are quite pink, though not as much as this albino dolphin. I think the Hong Kong dolphin spotter said that the females are more pink than the males, and that they get extra pink during oestrous when they have more blood flow to their skin.

Is this where I complain about seeing that stupid "I lost 31 lbs in 3 months" ad? Because I REALLY HATE IT.
